which one do you prefer and why? Did you receive the same amount of growth or did one give you more than the other? And did you feel as though they were both effective?

I'm asking because I really really want to make my own growth aide. I priced the oils and the amount you get for the price is rediculous! But, herbs are $1 to $3 and a bottle of castor oil is no more than $8. So I figured I would make out better infusing my own oils. Am I wrong? Another thing, so many ladies do it so many different ways. Some put it in a slow cooker for 4 to 5 hours or 8 hours. Some do it without heat, in a dark place for 14 days. What way have you done this and how did it work out for you?

I hope I put this in the right section, I was back and forth between this section and natural living lol. TIA

I put either my powdered herbs or cut and sifted herbs in a muslin herb baggie and infuse in a 16 ounce potpourri pot, which looks just like the little dipper by Rival. My oils usually consist of coconut, olive, almond, castor. I infuse from three to six hours. I have gone as long as eight hours, but I no longer think infusing quite that long is necessary. I prefer this to buying essential or herb-infused oils in the marketplace.

I just made an alma oil with a coconut and castor base. I like it because I can control the potency in the process. I used it to seal my braids this weekend and I def love the results. You also have that pride of using something that you made yourself! Happy growing.:yep:

EOs only require drops, so you wouldn't be getting ripped off buying an EO. EOs ARE stronger than wholre herb, after all, they are the essence of the plant and you only need X (say 20 just as a round number)drops per ounce.

Can't answer for comparative growth because I don't really pay attention that closely. Either way should yield results IF you're patient. Do what's most convenient for you.
