I like the curly pattern in your hair. Now that my hair is growing I am trying to get the curly pattern. I am also trying to get the curl pattern to come out in my daughters hair she has curls in some areas but not other... I blame it on her being half Nigerian. So thanks for the curly tip!

So pretty! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way that hairstyle looks! A friend of mine wears her hair like that quite often...it's sooo pretty!

Thanks. I am so blushing..well sort of..right now. My waves are starting to come in the front again. I think it was partly because of the relaxed ends and also from lack of moisutre. I can't wait til i can push that puff farther back. I love shiny waves in the front. I like that wet look.

Aww I get them from my dad. My uncle was fine back in the day he has some really light eyes. My brother's eyes are light too. I think it looks so different on our chocolate skin I love it.

Bumping for the ladies at work today. Tell me why someone told me "is that how you wore your hair to go turn in an application?" Yup I sure did. I thought it was cute. But he said it made my afro look too small. WTF?!? Who cares hair is hair and it was neat looking. It wasn't tight dry and messed up looking. Atleast I tried. This is the hair God gave me and right now it's short and I am working with it so oh well. If an employer doesn't like then oh well.

I know I'm late but I saw your other posting of your sisters hair and then this one of yours I have to agree withn everyone else your hair is growing beautifully, the curl pattern is gorgeous and both you and your sister are very beautiful girls to match....ok I'm officially jealous

looks good. you probably already explained what you do for your edges, so i'll go through the whole thread...

This is from another post but the info is there. let me know if I could be of better assistance.

I'll do you one better and go get the video. I will get a different video. The people on youtube were pretty much doing there's on dry hair on old braid/twist outs but what we did was:

Wash our hair (co wash or pre poo poo whatever you want to do) I like to do it on wet hair because we are in the TWA stage and for me it's easier to work with wet. Or you can spritz your hair.

then after washing I left the hair soaking wet I parted hair in four sections and applied KC knot today and brushed through with a denman brush.

after that I went back through with a small(you really don't need alot) of KCCC and then brushed it through.

I then brushed her hair all back to define the coils.

then I brushed the hair up in the back and on the sides and brushed the top back. If the hair is soaking wet still I kinda just let it absorb some of the products at this point because i want to use a gel that adds shine and more defintion to the part that is slicked down. I don't want to water down the gel so I let the hair air dry a little.

When it is a little more dry I then add Fantasia IC gel(or Longaid gel which is what I used today. I love this gel it adds shine but the IC really does the holding I want) just to the top and back for hold and shine. Brush it with a soft boar bristle brush to help define waves some more.

then I put the headband on and wrap it around my neck twice and then slide it up and i slide it up as far back on the puff as I want.

Then I use the denman brush and pic the fro out and define the fro in the back more also to add shape. Our hair is uneven from self cuts. I pat down and shape uneven parts and VOILA!

I almost forgot I then roll a scarf up so it fits just around the fro and tie it down so that it also helps define the waves. And take it off before i leave the house but atleast leave it on for 5 minutes.

Here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1Yo9sjR1es

I do it pretty much how she does it except for what is noted different above. I like that she uses the scarf that is why I picked this video for you.

I just got a scarf like the one she uses in this video and it works sooo much better. It defines my waves more and makes hair lay down better. I will take pics after I do my hair tomorrow.

As for a regimine I am still trying to build one. I don't know if I want to low poo no poo or what. But for the most part I cowash with a moisturizing condish and then leave my hair soaking wet and apply a condish of my choice(KC knot today, infuisim frizz or moist, Cantu, etc) and put a GOOD amount and then I add Gel...If it's KCCC I apply through out hair if not then I just apply around the edges. I apply an oil lightly on top of the other products. and do all the rest i listed above or however I style. i think the trick is the hair being wet and then adding the moisture and defining with the denman. I co wash atleast every other day if not everyday.

Keeping my hair wet works for me so that it doesn't dry out. I am still experimenting with products to see what works best for me.
