What have you done after a flat iron/straightening session turns out oily and a little stiff?

I just finished mine and it is somewhat oily, but I don't want to rewash.

Is there anything to do?

O have had the same issue. I fear there is nothing to do, but wait, rinse or put it up and forget about it

Wear a cotton scarf to sleep for one night, YES Cotton. It will absorb the excess oil. You can go back to your satin scarfs/bonnets once you hair isn't as oily anymore. No harm will come to your hair, I promise. :)

This happened to me after using too much heat protectant. I tried baby powder and it just looked dirty and awful. Rewashing was the only solution.

I have found when my hair is too dry after flat ironing or too greasy usually nothing will save it. I usually have to start over. Sometimes greasiness will wear off but usually not. When this happen I wear my hair back or up for a few days and then wash again.

Sorry OP. I know it sucks when this happens.

It may wear off. or u can very lightly dampen it & turn it into a braidout. u wont notice it as much as a braidout
