Oils & Butters That You Hate And Love

I like whipped shea butter for sealing. I use all the essential oils out there that's good for our hair..too many to name.
I hate shea or any other thick butter on my skin...too greasy

scared of all butters due to potential build up
scared of most oils due to moisture blockage
Coconut oil is ok.
LOVE argan oil.

Having said that, I don't use butters or oils.

LOVE: Safflower oil, sunflower oil, grapeseed oil, hemp oil, walnut oil, wheat germ oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, JBCO, cupuacu butter, sesame oil, rice bran oil, murumuru butter, meadowfoam seed oil, rosehip oil, tamanu oil, blueberry seed oil, marula oil, castor oil, broccoli seed oil, camellia oil (japonica version), evening primrose oil, borage seed oil

Extra virgin olive oil is my favorite.

Grape seed oil is okay.

Coconut oil makes my hair very dry.

I only use oil when my hair is in an up do.

HATE:
  • shea butter
  • cocoa butter
  • mango butter
  • aloe butter
  • shealoe butter
  • castor oil
  • grapeseed oil
  • olive oil (the scent, it performs ok though)
  • most butters because they sit on my hair, don't sink in.
LOVE:
  • avocado oil
  • coconut oil (prepoo or dc only! No leave ins!)
  • almond oil
  • sunflower oil

I LOVE:love4::

1. Avocado Oil - on wet or dry hair/ as the O in the LOC method/ keeps hair soft and pliable/ burning point of 500 so great sun protectant and heat protectant

2. Moringa Oil - on dry hair/ This oil does a great job at keeping my scalp and NG moisturized. It also works great as a daily hair conditioner.

3. Coconut Oil - on dry hair/ as a prepoo or hot oil treatment

4. EVOO - to detangle dry hair

5. Sheabutter
- on wet/damp hair/ if in a mixture with oils and water

Fortunately, I can't think of an oils or butters that I hate. I have used oils and butters that I did not see any use for in my regimen, but I didn't experience any adverse effects from them, so I cant say that I hate them.

How does moringa oil smell??

I like sunflower seed and sweet almond oil. They are my favorite when it comes to sealing because they are both very light oils.

My hair doesn't like coconut or olive oil. Too heavy for my fine strands

I also love Shea butter and I want to try avocado oil. My hair feels greasy if there are a lot of oils in the butter. I'm going to purchase the Oyin handmade whipped Shea butter and see how that goes since making my own is a pain the butt. I'll def. pay more for that convenience

This gon be long.

Wow I love so much butters and oils, so let's see:

I love avocado oil, avocado butter - this butter and oil are wonderfully moisturizing for both my hair and skin, olive oil, olive butter, almond oil, grape seed oil especially for my skin, rice bran oil, hemp seed oil, hemp seed butter, apricot oil, pumpkin seed oil, coconut oil (yum yum), shea oil, shea butter.

I use brahmi oil, bhringraj oil, amla oil for scalp massages and henna treatments - works wonders!

 ;love:  palm oil because it is the most amazing oil for oil rinsing.

I also love cupuacu butter, murumuru butter, cocoa butter, soy butter, tucuma butter, coffee butter, aloe butter, shealoe butter, pumpkin seed butter, lavender blend butter Donna Marie ButterCreme.

I love the benefits of wheat germ oil, but not googoo gaga about the scent but I keep it for it's benefits. Besides, I tend to doctor up my oils with essential oil anyway so that's not a really big problem for me.

I also love Cherry Kernel oil, camellia oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, meadow foam oil, pracaxi oil, walnut oil, macadamia oil, castor oil and Jamaican Black Castor Oil, aloe oil, jojoba oil.

There are some essential oils I have that I love as well like geranium, bergamot, ylang ylang, lavender, clary sage, cedarwood, rosemary, vetiver, tea tree, peppermint and a few others - too lazy to go look.

Anyhoo, that's a start.

Ditto on everything on this list except I don't like castor oil by itself and I love olive oil.

My hair loves coconut oil, avocado oil, and JBCO and tea tree oil for my scalp. My hair still and always hated olive oil and shea butter. I can use products with shea butter mixed into it, but pure unrefined shea butter is horrible on my hair
