Oil Vs Butter

Do you find that there is a difference in using an oil vs a butter for sealing? I'm not referring to type, but to the state of the product.

For my hair there is a difference between sealing with an oil or butter.

Oils are lighter and not as moisturizing as butters. My hair doesnt feel as soft and supple when I seal with an oil.

I've found that the only way my hair likes oils is when I seal with the oil first than a butter. Alone it's a no go for my hair personally.
