Hair product junkie reloaded!
Well, I planned on doing mini-chops between summer of this year and summer of next year thus making my transition a hefty 2 years...but now am having second thoughts.

The two textures have not bothered me because I have been in braids most of the time since I started May 7th. I am inching up on my one year transitioning anniversary but am thinking of just BCing when I get back to the US. I am currently in France. I think I will have a good amount of new growth so it will not be as bad. I hate short hair and was afraid to BC because of it, but I planned on wearing wigs, weaves, and braids throughout my transition anyway so I figure why not just go ahead and BC???

Any thoughts, tips appreciated.

This would be my first time being natural since I was about 4 or so. I will be 21 next month.....

btw, I am a black albino so it'll be interesting to see myself with a golden blonde fro or puff

Edit....y'all that BC'd in a year, how much new growth did you start out with? My hair is uneven. I am guessing I will have 4 to 6 inches in the front while the back will have less.

I initially wanted to transition for a year or longer, but couldnt wait that long cuz i was so excited about seeing my natural hair again after like 7 years or so, so I chopped at 10 months and I think i had 3-4 inches i think...i dunno, its in my album...i had enough hair to do styles, but i mostly stuck with a shake n go...

I started to transition last Feb...and chopped in Nov.. unexpectedly..I thought I was just gonna get a haircut..lol but my relaxed hair was BONE straight...and my curly hair is a 3c..VERY curly.. but I hated it when she bc'd it.. I had so much shrinkage.. had I known how to braid, etc.. I would have gone longer..but once the relaxed hair was gone it was so much easier to deal with..but I still wear a baseball hat everyday.. when she chopped it..I came home and washed it like 4 times..thinking my hair would be longer when I was done.. I bawled my eyes out.. but I'm okay with it now.. I still wear a hat though..lol

You should do what you think will be easiest for you to deal with.. your hair is a pretty color!!!!!!!!!

thanks. u know, when thing i noticed...right after a relaxer, my golden blond hair would be a darker blonde for a while....then after some time, it would lighten up. anyone else experience something similar?
