Shall we all check-in every month?

I think that is an excellent idea. I need lots of encouragement y'all. I get so tempted to use heat. Stretching the relaxer will be easier because I have done it before but no heat will be hard.

I think I will change up my style each month......

This is exactly what I needed!!!

I decided to not only stretch my relaxer to December but I am trying to go no heat! Can I do it?

So far my hair is long enough to finally be able to put it up into a nice twist or bun.

I have been struggling because I really know this will work but four months?....
I think I can do it.

So far I have gone 2 weeks without putting heat on my hair. The last time I went two months witout heat my hair grew like crazy! But I had to chop it off!

December and 3more inches here I come!!! (with a little encouragement from my LHCF sistas!!)

Hey girl!!! Welcome to the club! YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Just think about how bangin your hair will be in December when you get that relaxer...thickness, & health plus knowing that you were disciplined enough to do it! Hang in there girl...we'll be your support group!
Let the many inches you will attain be your incentive and if all else fails...
Breathe, stretch, shake, let it grow!!!

I'm 11 weeks post relaxer and I need one desprately. I'm planning to relax this weekend. When I do relax this weekend, it'll be my last one 'till Christmas (if my hair doesnt get too unruly, lol). This is exciting becuase I havent joined a challenge in a long time. I'm hoping for an additional 1 1/2"-2" by Christmas!

Hey Divine Inspiration,
I am in! I am 4 weeks post. And need all the encouragement I can get and will give. I have stretched this long before, but experience alot of breakage, because I was big and pregnant and didn't really care about my haircare...haha...so this time will be much better cause I have LHCF for all my challenges.

Mermaid, What's up girl? You betta get your whip out and tame that unruly hair! lol...glad to have you!

Lisa, how ya doin?, we've got the same name!!! Girl if I can do it, I KNOW you can do it...I'm 8 weeks post so I'ma need your encourgament when times get rough...welcome, welcome, welcome!

I guess you can count me in too. I'm 8 weeks post relaxer as well, and I'm thinking about getting my sewn-in weave re-done around mid-October. Anyone ever had a closure weave 'cause that's what I'm going to need to stretch that long and get a lot of growth underneath.

D.I. at this point, my hair is the ruler. I've got so much new growth that I can't see my scalp and my hair has shrunk to above shoulder length. I dont want to risk the chance of breakage. My last relaxer was at the late June/early July. I offically measured my new growth and it's about 2". If there's one thing I've learned, you should "listen" to your hair :spinning:. I'm going to JCPenny to get my hair did on Saturday, I'll try to have pics up by that following Tuesday.

19sweetie...hey girlie...glad you decided to join us...

Mermaid, I feel you on listenin girl...with 2", your relaxer should be NICE...what do you use to relax?

Nappyme, WELCOME!!

Please count me in. I know I'm late joining but, I was tied up in the baggy (challenge I mean.) I'm 5 weeks post relaxer.

I'm really not consistent with one brand of no-lye relaxers. The last one I used was Fabulaxer from Sally Beauty Supply. I really like that relaxer for a "box" relaxer. Depending on the results from my trip to the salon on Saturday, this next brand may be a keeper.

Mscolwhite, WELCOME girl! It's never to late to get a membership in the Christmas Stretch Club! LOL...

Mermaid, I think I'm gonna try Mizani Mild for my next relaxer...maybe I'll start a thread and ask what the other ladies are gonna relax with.
