Oct 2017 What Did You Buy This Week?

Been so focused on using up stuff that when I went to wash my hair today, my stash was pretty much non-existent, so I had to skip wash day. Had an excuse to #HaulSoHard :lachen:

Henna Sooq:
2 Bhringraj powder
2 Amla powder
1 Brahmi powder

HairVeda
2 Methi Sativa Tea Set (pre-order)
1 Acai berry cond

Collective Haul from Target & Curlmart:
1 Kinky Curly Curling Custard
4 CR coconut water treatment
3 CR coconut water leave in
2 CR coconut water style setter
1 CR sweet ginger rinse
1 Curl Junkie Daily Fix
2 Curl junkie Smoothing Lotion

Want to get a few more things from Hairveda on Black Friday, and I should be set for a hot minute.

Tooo much. I haven't been focusing on my hair for the past two yrs so I had to lot to buy:

As I am leave in conditioner
Pibbs dryer
Perm rods
mane setting mouse
curls blueberry bliss jelly
She's moisture curl enhance smoother
Aphogee protein treatment
She's moisture hydrating mask
Scissors
Mirror
Spray bottle
Denman to replace the one I had that I can't find

A set of those hair bands that look like the spirally telephone cords of old, to see if I'll finally be able to make a bun.

A couple of glass jars with locking lids to hold a couple of my DIY mixtures.

I easily resisted Ampro clear gel due to its ingredients, despite the Sallys lady's high confidence that it would indeed give me crunch. (I'm very curious about Vatika gel.)

KareCo detangling brush

@YvetteWithJoy :look:

I hope you love it! If not, send it back home to WalMart. Lol.

With that brush, I lose verrrrry little hair, and my whole head is detangled fast!

Tip that works for me that might also work for you:
I detangle my ends with a very gentle flicking motion until I can easily pull the brush like normal through my ends. Then I repeat that method higher up, then higher up still, until I can draw the brush from root to tip quite easily.

The flicking motion is like using the brush as a pick kind of. It entails gently/slightly, quickly rotating my wrist each time I flick the brush to pick through my tangled end.

It doesn't sound gentle, but it really is. I have much less hair left in the brush than with any other I've ever used. Very little.

HTH!

I love it! As soon as I used it I was like Yep, don't need another detangling brush ever lol First of all, it was $14.50 on Amazon and on the Wal-Mart site, but only $10.96 at the store so yay! I will say the curved shape has taken some getting used to. Thanks for the tip. I'll try it next wash day.

Biosilk Rock Hard Hard Styling Gelee from Ulta based on Nap85's and @Alma Petra's endorsements.
Can't wait to hear what you think of it. It's very popular amongst the curly ladies of CurlTalk forum, specially those who live in very humid climates. Many actually say that they just use a small amount of it on top of another gel to give them mega hold.
It definitely gave me more crunch than Wetline Xtreme and maybe that's why I prefer Wetline. I don't like to have residual crunch after my hair dries and I SOTC (scrunch out the crunch). You make me want to use it again now, even though I'm not even using wetline nowadays because I'm focusing on experimenting on my poor twa lol
