Tricking the president
as y'all know i have had tremendos damage to my hair because of braids. when i removed my individuals towards the end of december i was on the verge of shavign my head. as i did not want to relax and i didnt want individuals again, i got cornrows. i just took them out this sundaya nd as i am in upstate new york its not like i can just run out and get them done again. so this mornign i mad an appontment at regis salon, the ONLY place in this town that does black hair, let alone relaxers. so i had the stylist, who was black, relax my hair and cut out all of the damage. it was so sad whne she was showing me where she was gonna cut how you could see through the ends. my hair is now the shortest i have ever had it in my life, about an inch or so below my ear when straight. my hair feels like its oldself- thick and healthy. i am now truly on my way to healthier, longer hair!!! To anyone who has been putting this off, as i have been doing since June, please go and get that damaged hair cut, trimmed, whatever. just let it go. i am finally not depressed about my hair for the first time in months in spite of the fact that its really short.

I am glad you are feeling better about your hair. I am sure your hair will sprout like a weed too, so the length will be back in no time.

Do you have pics????? I am also so happy for you and your journey to healthy hair!

I always trim my damaged ends because it is no use holding on to them. Plus your hair will feel and look so much better.

Thanks for posting that. Maybe someday I'll get the courage to get my head cleaned up instead of tring to hang on to the length I have from my broken ends.
