Me either. I thought I was about to watch someone who went no poo, or who prcticed water only washing. I wasn't even sure what I was looking at. This is a homeless man who went to the hospital because he felt something moving around his hair. Worms ate all the hair to the scalp. It disturbed me to my very core so I knew I had to share.

I guess, in a way, the maggots actually saved his life since they were eating his rotting flesh (do maggots eat healthy flesh, too?) b/c he probably would have died or been seriously ill with all that rotten scalp meat. Think sepsis.

The probably had to shave it completely the use several forms of antibiotics/bacterials. There's no way to save that hair.
He must be severely mentally ill to allow that to continue

There is another considerably worse video where millions of maggots were eating away the dead flesh of a homeless man's feet. I think it comes from poor hygiene and an untreated open wound. All it will take is one fly to sit on the smelly mess, lay its eggs and before you know it, maggots. The possibility also exists that there was an untreated wound that turned into gangrene and dead skin, which then caused maggots to form. After all, dead bodies (or in this case, skin) that are left to decompose will eventually result in maggots. This is why I insist on being cremated.
But for this to get past the flesh and scalp to the skull is just crazy to me. I feel so bad for this person.
