Now that you know what it takes to get and keep hair healthy, do you feel differently about your hair pre-LHCF?

I have been fighting my newgrowth for the last two weeks, trying to keep pushing for 9 weeks. After a couple of bad washes I used duo tex and aubreys conditioner and my hair seemed to be comming around. As I was detangling my hair on my sofa, I started thinking about all the time and energy it takes to begin and continue the healthy hair process. I think about all the habits I have dropped and all the habits I keep picking up and I just started thinking about my hair before this board. Its amazing I even had any with all I used to do to it. Highlights every two months, relaxer retouches every 4-6 weeks, curling iron every day, wash every 3-4 with crappy conditioner just to blowdry it out on high heat and curl it again, no quality moisutrizer, no night protection, no trims, etc.... Even with all of that I still had hair on my head. Now that I have spoiled it rotten, its gotten all siddity on me:cool: I can't imagine what my hair would do if I stopped doing what I do now. I guess what I am saying is that even though my hair isn't as long as I would like and I still have hair hate moments, I am thankful that I even have any at all. I know we all have moments when we look in the mirror and think about why our hair isn't right or areas that need work and what not but compared to the average head of hair, its really not as bad as we think.

I totally agree. I mean, I figure, I'll always be a work in progress. But, at least I'm not where I used to be. :)
