ITA. I remember just a year ago, my hair was hovering above shoulder length and it was falling out. I mean I didn't have to touch it or anything. There were literally strands all over my shirt and people would always comment on it. I know that a combination of stress and unhealthy hair habits produced this. Now I have made changes and my hair has thrived. I might not be at BSL, but I know where my hair has been and thus I am appreciative of where it is now. I remember when I got my first "wig" comment, I was like:eek:. That's when I realized what progress I had made. To have people compliment and ask what products I use though my hair isn't flowing down my back. I have really calmed down with the negative thoughts. Rather than focus on what my hair is not, I focus on what my hair is. All in all, though I spend a lot of time on this site, I don't think too much about my hair. Protective styling and a simple regimen will do this. It literally takes me 30 seconds to do my hair in the morning. I know that worrying about it won't give me anymore growth. When I put my hair on the backburner, I looked up and it was night and day.:)

That is a wonderful thing. Sometimes on the site, the focus seems to be on length alone. That is one of the reasons I just stopped updating my pics. No length change and you just don't seem to get good responses.

But, in the real world people have been asking what I am doing and what products I use. That makes me feel much better.

Yeah, what she said. Honeydew is right, you can't compare your hair to others.

What you do is, just start with some photos. You don't have to post them. But use it as a comparison from month to month or evry 3 moths or so so that you can compare yourself to - yourself. I guarantee, through the photos, you will see the difference.

As far as trying to find out what works for you, I think with a lot of us it takes time to tweak here and there to find out what works for you. remember there are thousands of products out here to try to use. I'm still learning what works for me and I have been a member for 8 months.

Stop stressing girl, just do your thang.

You should join in and make posts. Everybody's hair here is at different levels and people are very encouraging. One thing that I'm reluctant to do is post pictures of my hair because I don't feel like it's long enough but one day I'll do it :)

That's what I did when I felt like my hair was growing the way I wanted to... and thats when I started to notice the difference. I took pictures for about three months before I decided to create a fotki.
