No more puffy roots

That little brush tool looks cool. All I could think about when he was doing the chick with the weave's hair is how short her hair was though. :look:

The model's edges and real hair were chewed up. But the tool was cool. $179 is a little steep for moi right now.

My roots are the only part of my hair that I use direct heat on, so I'd love to buy something like that. But $180 is a little steep. That's how much I paid for Pibbsy! I might stick with narrow-shaped cheap ceramic flat irons for now.

And also, it said that it went up to 430 degrees. Did it have temperature control? Cuz that's a lot of heat!

I have this tool and it basically works like a straightening comb for your roots, but you don't have to worry about burning your head. You just comb it through. You have to do small sections bc the teeth are really small in the combs (there's one on either side of the heat barrel, but that straightens them roots right on out. :yep:

I usually use a pressing creme with it when I use it. It's got variable temperatures going up to like 450 degrees. (I think that would take your hair right on out) bc my hair is thick and I only use about the 300 setting or so..One thing, IT IS ONLY FOR ROOTS, NOT YOUR WHOLE HAIR LENGTH. IT IS NOT A STRAIGHTENING COMB. I could see how a natural sister might use it in conjuction with a straightening comb when pressing one's own hair, but again, not for whole length use. It's good bc with little finesse or skill (and I don't have any when it comes to pressing hair), you can press exactly what part of the root you want to, so no danger of overlapping high heat on relaxed hair for me!

I am almost 6 weeks post and I used it on my hair 4 days ago and the roots are still straight. I even worked out a couple of those days. It's a cool tool, but the price tag is really steep. If you can find a cheaper solution, go for it-

I do like it, though...:yep:

Do you have the one the original poster mentioned or the centeredgirl posted?

Nevermind...you responded before I finished typing..

I leave my screen up and come back thinking everything is as it was when I left.

I refresh my screen and 40 other replies are there

Thanks for the review.:yep:
I'm sorta not too sure I'll be able to wing it because my roots are the hardest thing to get over once the NG sets in. I dont even think I could seperate all that hair in the back enough to get that tool in there.

I'm liking these. I like the one for the loose finger waves too although is seems like it would be hard to use on yourself.

Thanks.

I saw this is a mag a few months ago. I saw the price tag then went to search on Ebay. They had one brand new one and the bidding started at $0.00. I just knew I was going to get it because I figured no one else really new about it :lachen: However, I was a new member of LHCF and was caught up reading the threads and forgot about the ending time :ohwell: Someone got it for $17.99 and the shipping was free. I could have kicked myself in the a** :wallbash:

I will definitely be trying the one for $19.99 though. Thanks

kinda off topic, but does anybody know the name of the song on the video?
ETA nm, I discovered this miraculous thing called google.

I want an Edgestick, but I'm scurred! :drunk:

I bought the Gold n' hot pressing comb at Sally's and it sat there for like a week; then I took it back. :nono:

I just purchased the root control...the price is steep so I hope that it was worth it!
