Nixon thermal bliss has been the best detangler/heat protectorant I have ever used and it is now discontinued:(. What are you ladies replacing it with ? I still have a couple of bottles left but a girl got to prepare. This is why when I find something I love I stock up like it is the end of the world.

You can't be serious?! Discontinued before I could try it out?? Noooooooooo

I was going to buy it with my next hair purchase for straightening and now I am disappointed. I need to read answers to this question too!

It made me so sad I called 4 ultas in my area and then went straight to the nioxin website and it is no longer listed. I am going to call them Monday to let them know that alot of people love this product and see if they are going to bring it back

Wow! This sucks:nono:! I guess I'd have to go with the Keracare Thermal protectant then. I am already using KC products so I'll just stick with thermal protector in this line as well.

What on earth is the matter with these companies? They bring out something great and then they take it back! They just take it back!

~frustated~

This the best detangler I've ever encountered. Actually its the only detangler that really does detangle-- in my experience. I wish I would've stocked up. I may call Nioxin. Its the last of their products that I use regularly, they may want to rethink this.

I used it for the first time to straighten. I had to buy on Ebay when I read on the board that it was discontinued. :(

MissAlinaRose,
I love the KeraCare products a lot. Although the Moisturcolor Conditioner for color treated hair, I'm still on the fence about. I am not too sure how I like this one because it is a little gooey/stickey and as a result, I couldn't concentrate on how it worked on my hair. I will have to give it another chance and then I'll have a fair review of it.
All the others that I have tried are wonderful especially the KC Intensive Restorative Mask, the 1st lather shampoo, the hydrating and detangling shampoo, the humecto creme conditioner, the leave-in conditioner, the oil moisturizer with jojoba oil, defining custard, and edge tamer so far are awesome.
I have yet to try the super reconstructor and I won't be needing it for another 4 weeks at least. The 5 in 1 reconstructor is milder and also nice. I ran out of it but might replenish it much much later as I have too many protien conditioners right now that I need to use up.

I been meaning to try this product & never picked it up. I wonder if they will bring back under another name or the always #fail new & improved formula.

How long do they usually last? Is it worth it trying to buy it online since it has been discontinued for a while? Don't want to buy expired products.

They get kind of mucusy if you leave it sitting for a while. I had to clean mucus out of the tube before I could spray it b/c I left it sitting a long time. Sort of a thin mucus film developed over the very top skin and in the tube :)

Why do they always discontinue the awesome products and the crappy ones still on the market?!

Well I contacted Nioxin this morning. Their customer relations is subpar but here is what I found out.
This was a marketing decision and the representative does not believe they will reinvent the product:(
Oh well I will be checking out KC line to try and find a replacement.

WHAT!!!! I actually love Nioxin Thermal Bliss and use it for my flat ironing. Now I will have to go through the trial and error process all over again with something different. This is so frustrating!

Aphogee leave in works just as well as a heat protectant and flat ironing aide. The wheat protein and amodimethicone found in nioxin are the magic ingredients and those are both high on the list for aphogee. I've used both with similiar results, except the aphogee works a bit better IMO

So that explains when I read about it on another thread why I couldn't find it on the Nioxin website. Next time I flat iron, will try the Aphogee one.

@beana
Your reply is very helpful; thank you so much for sharing. I'm going to look into this as well.

Also, how does it smell?? I have a strange sensitivity issue with my 5 senses :spinning:
