OK...

I finally used up my NTM products and thought I would try some of the Nexxus line since I had read so many great reviews on them. I am glad I bought the small bottles of both the moisturizing shampoo and the humectress conditioners. I was not impressed. I did not seem to get the slip that I typically like and it made my hair sorta...hard. It smelled great, but I don't think I will be buying this again.

I dunno...different strokes for different folks I guess.

The PJ in me is really leaning toward the DE line (I love their LoLye relaxer and stimulations conditioner). Someone please stop me!!!!!

LOL @ the title of this thread. Clarifying b4 using a new product give better results in most cases, not sure if you clarified b4 using. Also, some products take a few uses b4 seeing results, while others will start out great and end up being horrilbe in the end.

I say give it a few more tries b4 tossing it out, I know I love Nexxus, but that was b4 it was sold and I have a feeling the formula is just different now so that could be it also. I'm on the last leg of my my shampoo and may not be purchasing the new bottles.:ohwell:

I would second the clarifying rec.

Also, before you give up on Nexxus altogether, give their Phyto Organics line a try. It's heavenly and works better than the salon line, IMO.

^i think i'd like to try the phyto organics line... i hear so many good things about it... thanks for the reminder!

i had the saame expierence with it. hard hair no slip! i did love the smell tho.

I just used this last night for the first time and I love it. I clarified before using it tho so I think you should give it another try.

My hair stylist used the Therappe on my hair just to appease me. He doesn't like the way it feels on my hair, and he has to work harder.

He even told me to touch it while I was at the shampoo bowl, and I didn't like the way it felt either. It doesn't have enough "slip or detangler agents;" therefore, he recommends that I bring back the Cream of Nature (Ultra Moisturizing/Detangler formula).

I have sample bottles of Humectress waiting to be used, but I don't think I will try it.

None of Nexxus stuff worked for me either. Before I discovered the boards I bought Shamboosie's book and he raved about Nexxus this and Nexxus that. I went out and bought all this Nexxus stuff and after I used them I was like :ohwell:. It did nothing for me.

I second the clarifying rec. Before I toss anything I try it after clarifying, however I'm not fond of Nexxus humectress. It did nothing for my hair.

That's exactly what happened to me. The line was just not for me; it's a good thing I stumbled across small sample bottles before splurging on the regular size bottles.

Different strokes for different folks.

I feel you on this one. I am no fan of Humectress. I have a 10 ounce bottle that I got only because it was 4.99. I do use some others in the line.
Aloe Rid poo
Therappe
HydraSleek con
Emergencee

I am going to try the Sleektress poo and I am going to use up my Humectress by mixing it with some lovely oils for a prepoo.
