Hello,
My name is April and I am new to the haircare boards. I am currently in chicago, and i am trying to grow my hair out to about mid back. I am currently wearing a weave until i can figure out what my next step will be. I was always under the impression that it was impossible to grow our hair out long and flowing and that weaving was my only solution to having long hair. I am trying to resist more aggressive forms of weave like the fusion method or microlinking. I have the hair type of 4a and my hair is relaxed and braided under the weave. I am not sure how to get started and the type of regimine i should use for my hair. i am really looking to do most of this myself because most of my money goes to school, daycare for my son and i am single parenting right now.... Any help and advice is GREATLY appricated.

There are sooo many useful tips on this subject. Use the search function and type in roller set. It is trial and error type of thing IMHO. I am not very good at it though.

Wash Weekly
Deep Condition Weekly
Keep hair and especially ends moisturized then seal with an oil

Def try the newcomers guide to starting out it has alot of helpful tips. Im going to get the link for you.
