I don't know if any of you have gone through this, a short period of feeling a lil lost in regards to your hair regimen...

I have been trying to put together a simple and effective regimen to aid in my journey to healthy hair. I've purchased some products after the recommendations of my hair twins (in particular) and the general responses on the board. My dilemma? Now I have the products and it's as if I don't know what to do with them.:nono: Like I forgot what I may have read or researched. I've either forgotten or just plain don't understand the order in which I should use my products to achieve optimal results.

I finally got the hang of pre-poo and pooing and I am happy with my product choices so far. (EVOO or Coconut Oil/Elasta QP Creme Shampoo) (ok, done)

My DCs are ORS Pack or AO HSR and Aphogee 2 min as needed. (ok done)

Ladies, it's after the deep conditioning step that I get confused and dread; I want consistant and satifying setting results whether I'm airdrying (or occasionally blow drying);but to be honest, I just don't know what I'm doing to my hair after the DC process...:spinning: I squirt a dab or this and drop of that and and bit of sealing oil and hope for the best. I will admit that my hair always feels great! But it rarely looks great. I dunno. I would really appreciate some feedback on this from you all. (yes, I'm a relaxed head/8 wks post/interested in 12 week stretches from now on)

I have following products play with and use for my after poo/DC steps:

Hawaiian Silky 14 N 1
Coconut Oil
CHI SI
Profective Leave-In detangler
Sally Generic PM The Conditioner
Sally's Generic PM Skinny Serum.

What products do you want to be putting in your hair and why? There's so much that right now I feel overwhelmed. Guidance pleeeeaaaaseeee!:spinning:

From what you have listed I would recommend using the Pantene leave-in (on damp hair), followed by coconut oil (concentrating on the ends of the hair) to seal in the moisture.

Often when you use a lot of products at once and overlap them it leaves the hair looking dull. The hair may feel great, but it's loaded down with too many products to have that healthy shine. So maybe you should just keep it simple and use 1 or 2 products after you DC.

Cosigning with the less the better theory when it comes to rollersetting, and even airdrying. A leav-in and a little oil to seal is good enough, and if you're rollersetting be sure to have a spray bottle with water to re-wet your hair while you're setting.

Thanks. Just to clear up, I'm not using all of these products. These are just a list of what I have. It's just that I caught amnesia as far as what the "setting" process entails in my hair care regimen. Bottomline, after pooing and DCing, what should one put in their hair? (there's detanglers, leave-ins, serums, moinsturizers, oils, I'm just a bit confused)
