Hello pple..

Here is my short story...

- My hair LOVES coconut oil prepoo's
- I generally prepoo, wash and condition weekly.
- I do not want to hop in,out and in the shower.. aka.. I'd rather dry DC.
- My natural hair is extremely protein sensitive.

I have gone years without DC'ing (on natural hair) without issues, but I'm about to be relaxed and feel like in need to incorporate DC's. How do you suggest I do it? Mix the coconut oil with a deep conditioner? Pre-poo overnight with coconut oil and then add my conditioner over it?

For those of you that pre-poo and DC? How do you get the best results?

I use AO Honeysuckle Rose (moisturising, no protein) which is supposed to be used on dry hair, before a wash.

Why not either apply a dc on top of your coconut oil, concentrating mainly on the ends OR alternate at every dc session if you don't want to layer products.

I guess the best way, if you dont want to hop in and out of the shower is to turn the prepoo into a DC. Mix your fav. DC with the coconut oil. The other option is the normal prepoo, shampoo then DC but you can just rinse your hair in the sink or bottom tap in the shower. This is what I usually do..

i usually do my final rinse in the shower. i do everything else using the tub facet or at the sink.
