Newbie Needs All The Help She Can Get!

Hey hey hey!

I can't even remember how I came across LHCF I really can't but i'm so happy I did. Anyway I'm 21, from London UK and have decided I want to spend time on my hair; just making it as healthy as I want it to be and getting the length I really want!

At the moment it is relaxed, but naturally my hair has like a wavy texture (like my profile pic) But I relaxed it on a spur of the moment thing because I wanted it straight (stupidest thing i've ever done) - But because of my hair texture, I rarely relax it - maybe 3/4 times a year. Ironically I work for a hair company called Organic Root Stimulator - because they restored my severely damaged hair some years ago and although I know a lot of people do - i'm not interested in growing out my relaxer.

I just kind of want to know where everyone would consider my hair length to be at the moment and wonder if anyone has any recommendations in terms of styling that will cause the least amount of damage. I know weaves and wigs work wonders - i'm getting a full lace in a few weeks, but apart from that I hate sew-ins because they make my head itch lol - so thats a no go!

Sorry I know this is reallllly long - but it'd be appreciated!! :-)

The pictures below (hope you can see them) are of me when I'd washed my hair but didn't have enough time to dry it so had to towel dry it and run out the door - the purple on it was a wash off colour that washed out after 2 washes so not that colour anymore! x

Wow you work for ORS, nice. You can get your hands on lots of good hair products, lucky you. Welcome to the family, just check in often and read and you will see these ladies know a thing or two.

;-) Thanks hun.

Yeah love working for them, fantastic - just annoying how I've helped so many women grow tons of hair and haven't taken the time to do the same for myself! :nono:

*The Elephant spits out flavored water*

YOU DO WHAT NOW!?!......I LOOOOOVE me some ORS anything!!!!

But protective styles like buns, braids and other updos as well as low manipulation styles like flexi rod sets, twist- or braidouts are great for helping you retain length....and also....:welcome: to the family!!!

you have mucho potential beauty! you're very pretty as well. I wish you good luck as well as patience during your hair journey.

*SmilingElephant* : lol . . . I do love me some ORS anything too - trust me - no word of a lie I haven't used anything else for the whole 12 months i've been working there ...maybe thats cause I no longer have to buy it :lachen:! I joke i joke! But thanks

*BelleBebe* : Aww! Thanks hun!

:welcome4: fellow Londoner. There are a few links in my siggy that you may find helpful. You'll love it here.
TBH, I can't tell what your length is because of your pose but I'm guessing it's APL (I could be wrong).

DarlingDiva: Thanks hunni! x

Gabrielle.A: Yaaay a Londoner lol! (",) Yeah i tried to find a picture where my hair was down . . . as I always wear it up in a bun for the time being until I get to a length i'm happy with. But i'll try to get another one sooooon! :-) x
