Hi Ladies,
I happened upon this site after endless searching on how to "fix" my hair....I must say just from reading forums over the past few days, I feel like I will get some great advice and even better results. Here is the hair trauma that I have experienced. I have been or should I say had been natural since birth but constantly struggled in my high school and college years with growing and maintaining my very thick and curly hair. Last month, in an effort to "manage" my curls I asked my mom to apply the jfm "texture softener" to my hair.
needless to say it didn't work. a lot of my hair ended up straight, some is wavy and the most coarse parts seem as though nothing was done at all. It is a mess with all these textures on my head and I don't know what to do. I miss my old natural hair and want it back. after 22 yrs of natural hair this is the worst thing that ever happened to it. PLEASE help I don't know how to properly care for this mess of straight/curly hair and don't want to further "ruin" it. Any suggestions on what to do to bring it back/grow it out would be great. I wish i found this site before I thought JFM was a great idea
. I just figured with no chemicals ever being in my hair that it wouldn't hurt much...but make it manageable....boy was I wrong
