I would like to make a request and start a petition of sorts, for an "Adult Section". This section will not be "x-rated" or contain any type of pornographic or overtly sexual material. Perhaps it could be called "Between US". It will simply be a place to safely and freely (candidly) discuss adult matters in a more private or restricted area of the site. These topics would include (but is not limited to) the following: Motherhood, Personal Relationships, Feminine Health Matters, Mental illness, Death/Dying, etc.
This section would have guidelines for access (i.e. combination of membership length and number of posts, age restriction, etc), and would have strict "Respect" rules where certain online behavior would lead to removal from the section. This new section is not mean to be divisive, but rather, allow those with a more common goal to have a place to dicuss issues among other discerning adults.
I know that there are already sections somewhat similar to the topics I've previously mentioned. However, these topics are often inundated with cyber bullies and the likes, that intimidate others and stifle the members from sharing worthwhile information. Some members like the drama, bickering, unnecessarily mean posts, locked threads, or other various debauchery. However, there are many of us that yearn for the deeper, perception-changing threads that are far and few inbetween, because the environment is not always ideal for sharing at that level.
With the "Between Us" section, the more serious posters that want to learn (i.e. grow) from the experiences and knowledge of such a diverse
group of women, will have this possibility.
Anyhow, this is simpy an idea. So ladies, please vote and post "Yes" or "No" if you agree/disagree with my proposal. This way, perhaps the LHCF admin can determine if there's even a real interest.
