Has anyone ever used or heard of this Phyto "relaxing balm"? The manufacturer claims that horseradish and garlic are used to straighten natural or curly hair without harmful chemicals.

The only indgredients listed are: Ferula, Horseradish Extract, Garlic Extract, Sage, Botanical Gum.

Also, note that a 3.3 oz. bottle retails for $22 (BEFORE shipping!)

I have heard of this stuff and have been wanting to try it for a looonnggg time but can't seem to break down and pay that much for that small tube. I heard it is suposed to be good.

If noone here has used it, I would call PHYTO. The people who answer the phone are very honest about what the product does and what type of hair the products work for.

I have this. It's not really too new, but I do love it.

I am 4a/b and when I use this product, I find that it gets my roots much straighter, esp when used with a blowdryer. But the results are not "relaxer" straight without heat. It's not a moisturizer though - so if you try this product, don't be surprised by that.

Also, this is not a little tube. A little bit of the phytodefrisant goes a long way - I've had my current tube for over two months, and I'm not creeping up on halfway yet.

ITA w/LadyChe,

I've had this a while and since I don't use heat on my hair (except for a diffuser), it's of little benefit to me. I'm a texturized 4a/b. My mom is more like a 3b, I think and it doesn't do much for hers either unless she uses heat. So far, I've not found a use for it. If you're looking for STRAIGHT look from it alone, this won't give it to you. I'm not sure about other applications (i.e. heat, wet sets...)

But, a little DOES go a long way with this product.

Yeah there are a few ladies that love this stuff. This isn't a new product though. I have never used it, but I know a few ladies did and like I said love it.

Thanks for the reviews ladies. I didn't know it had been on the market for some time now. :ohwell: I don't think I'll purchase it because I am trying to stay away from heat, especially blowdrying.

I'm sure I can find other alternatives for getting my roots straight w/o chemicals...

THANKS!!
