Ya'll are so sweet!!! I'm sorry it took a while to respond but I logged off yesterday soon after posting so I could get some work done. I spend WAAAY too much time on this site /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Thanks so much for all of your encouragement. I've got a ways to go, but I owe my success, first to God, and to all of you because of the tips I've learned here. I started my journey at the beginning of this year so it'll be fun to see where I am in Dec.
Faith: Thanks for your comments! I don't think I blow-dried that day, unless I was rushing. I airdry 99% of the time because I'm on the no-heat challenge. I broke the challenge that day because I wanted to check my progress. I'm pretty sure I just air-dried and then used a curling iron. I use a Conair Ceramic iron that I got at CVS that is about 1 1/2" round. It's so large that I use it like a flat iron but I still get a slight bump at the ends. I'll post a picture of styling tools later.
Re: Growth, all I did was Surge 2x per day, wash/cond every 3 days, use WGO on my scalp after each wash after Surging, air dry (w/no other forms of heat), trims every blue moon, and scrunchie buns 95% of the time.

You're hair is healthy and beautiful. BTW I tried your pin curl instructions and I got this beautiful funky curly/wavy style that everyone was complimenting me on. I didn't get a chance to thank you and I don't have any pics because I am now on the braids challenge.

I'm so happy the pincurl method worked for you!! It's great when members have sucess with it, even though it takes a few times to get it to come out the way you want it to. Please, post pictures of it when you can!

I'm really not sure how many inches my hair is because I don't know how to measure. I'll look for a thread on how-to's and try to get an accurate answer for ya. I've just been measuring the progress to my goal- which is bra strap length by Dec. I know that I'm about 1 1/2-2 inches from there now and I'm 5'7". How do you measure? Do you use measuring tape?
BTW, I looked at your album Den and wished I was natural like you!!! Wanna trade /images/graemlins/smile.gif?

Hi KarmenDeaha, I wear it in a ponytail or bun pretty much everyday. The Fiance gets REALLY tired of seeing my hair in a bun all the time and is always asking me to wear those pincurls so I'll wear it out for special occasions (or when he has been good /images/graemlins/smile.gif). Funny the things that men get excited about!! Besides, buns get a little boring for me too so it's nice to switch up every blue moon.

Thanks, i don't really use a measuring tape, i judge the length by strecthing my hair and record where it touches, i.e bra-strap, waist length etc. Oh btw, I'm not natural, i texturized my virgin hair 8 montths ago.

Honey- your hair is gorgeous as well! I just checked your pix. I prefer a blunt cut- makes my hair appear thicker I think. Go ahead a trim a little bit. I just do a little dusting every now and then and I can stretch out my trims. I actually think I'm do right about now since I didn't trim at my last relaxer (the pix you saw).
