You are definately one of my 'texturized' hair inspirations. i am thisclose to trying this out. the versatility is amazing to me.
BTW, who WAS that guy?

I'm guilty of brushing down my baby hair a lil' bit after looking at your album--then promptly brushing it back to where it's supposed to be.

Nice hair.

Very funny, Ipanema haha

CH--Thx! You should go for it. You can switch from relaxer to texturized gradually you know.........

I love your hair album!!

You do the cutest rollersets and I love them "bushy" as you call them. What size rollers and what kind (magnetic, perm rods, etc.) do you use?

Okay the hair looks lovely as always but I am dying to know about Jamaica LOL you look like you had a grand ole time

Thx TripleP---it was awesome. I stayed on a resort and the other people staying there were mostly middle-aged white couples...and they were OFF DA CHAIN. Anyway, the scenery was beautiful. The ocean was the bluest I've ever seen and the Jamaican people are really friendly. Anyway, my new beau that I went with, he was actually born in Jamaica and lived there until age 15--he said the next time we go back, he'll take me into town so that I can see the non-tourist view of Jamaica. I can't wait!!

That's the thing. How much should i cut off the first time i get my hair texturized? I would not get my hair relaxed for at least 8 months so that'll b about 4" (hopefully
laugh.gif
) of new growth that can b texturized, would i (should I) cut off 4" of relaxed hair? I don't want to have tex/relaxed ends, that wouldn't look rite, would it?
scratchchin.gif
I'm so confused...

What I meant is just get touch-ups less frequently (maybe every 3-4 months, if you can)and use a milder relaxer, continue getting regular trims. Then maybe after 1 to 2 years, you should be able to chop of the rest of the relaxed ends and you'd have texturized hair! That's basically how I did it.

I am glad that you enjoyed your trip and new beau LOL Me and my girl friend will be making a stop @ jamaica mon hopefully soon.. (we have been planning this for 8yrs now LOL j/k maybe 2yrs) but you have to keep us posted on the non tourist part of Jamaica LOL i am scared to go to that part of town. lol

Do you have any pictures of your natural hair? I think that I might get a texturizer when my hair is longer...maybe at my 6 month mark.
smile.gif
I just want to get an idea of how my hair would look texturized.

I'm so tempted to go ahead and chop off my relaxed hair and go with a texturizer. I have so much newgrowth that I could really get away with it. I'm just not sure yet....this fierce blowout has me thinking that I can just get a blowout once a month (but I could never do my hair again) and go completely natural. Then another big part of me wants a texturizer so I can still do my own hair and not have to carry around a scarf everywhere just in case water comes close to my hair. So many decisions
frown.gif
Model_Chick I need your help! What should I do?

MC--Looking great as always! Back in November, I swore that I would never put any chemicals in my hair, but your hair makes me want to backslide!
angeldevil.gif

ms_kenesha--sorry, but no I don't have any pics of my natural hair. All I can say is that I'm a 4A...

JenniferMD--if you're nervous about chopping off your hair, just like I was telly CarmelHonee, you can gradually switch over--read above....OR like you said, transition for as long as you can, big chop, and then texturize....

One of the main reasons I like posting pics of my hair for you guys is that I am SO HAPPY with my texturized hair. I have truly reached my goal of having "wash and wear" hair. Don't get me wrong--I still prefer the look of "done" hair, i.e. rollersets, rollerwraps, etc. It's just nice to have a "back-up" with the wash-n-wear, and not having to be scared of going on vacation or swimming, etc. and getting my hair wet.

Jennifer MD, you have lovely hair. I looked at your photos and I noticed that you refer to using surge. Please tell me exactly what that is. I'm unfamiliar with that one.

Tks

I worry about this too. Right now my hair is slicked back in a bun and covered by a fake puff so water isn't an issue. But when I start wearing my out...

Wow Model Chick

. Simply beautiful!!!

You are inspiring me to wear my texturized hair loose during the Summer. I'm so used to putting it in a low or high ponytail and just leave it alone until next wash day.

How do you combat the tangles when you wear your texturizer down?

Aww, thanks Model_Chick, you know your screenname says it all about you. You definitely look like a model.

Girl I love you album-very detailed and you are so pretty.
I love your hair -texturized, straight, weaves you name it.
And I love the fact that you seem to be enjoying life you can see from your pictures.
