New --- HELP!!!!

Hi I am new to the board although I have been lurking for quite a few months. My hair is a 4b and a mess!!! I have a bald spot in my crown that won't go away and my hair sheds like crazy. I did stretch my relaxer 10 weeks for the first time ever but I am beginning to think I will never have healthy hair with a perm. Any insight would help.
