NEVER HAD LONG HAIR TIL NOW!!!

I was wondering who on this site never had long hair before til now, or who is on the verge of getting their hair long? I used to have hair that didn't grow past neck length when I was a kid. When I decided to grow my hair out the first time it grew past shoulder length and then I ended up cutting it off since I lost weight. ( wanted to look like my old youthful self again) Well now I'm growing it out again and I know it is possible to achieve the length I want. What is your story?

I had my hair long once before - when I got my first perm @ 18ish, or so. I think it was around BSL/APL length, and I cut it into a Halle Berry pixie style...*shakes head* Ah, youth.
Then, I grew my hair pretty long again, it locs.

Now, I'm trying to go back to that 18ish hair - PLUS some, since I actually know HOW to take care of my hair now.
