What is the best way to get the naps at your roots?

I have a CHI and it can't get those little hairs.

Do you guys bust out a pressing comb?

Please list brands and where you bought them from!

Thanks!

I dunno...I think it's the technique. When I first started flat ironing I could never get my roots straight. But now they are straight for some reason. I just make sure to press my hair in small 2" strips and start from the root.

Your blow drying technique could help alot too.

blowdry, section your hair into small sections, and get as close to the scalp as possible when flat ironing each section. Hope that helps.

Co-signing with Pooh. Other than that I don't do anything special.

It's all the the flick of the wrist. It's more about the technique than the iron or the products used. Just get the iron as close to your roots as you can.

If you stretch your hair as much as possible before you even get to the flat ironing part, you shouldnt have a prob getting to your roots.

IE Rollersetting, banding, etc.

My miniglide hooks me up!! My kitchen goes all down my neck and it gets those hairs straight without burning me or the hair.

It still is poofy. I so crappy at flat ironing. I bought a miniglide.
I deep conditioned. Detangled. Air dryed in braids. My hair is still not looking cute....ideas?

I have a 3/4 inch flat iron that I use on my roots. Becuase its so slim it gets to the roots easily.

I've been meaning to tell you that your siggy is GORGEOUS! I pause when I scroll past it every time.

The smaller the flat iron, the better for getting roots straight. A serum also helps my hair to "stay" if I want to add another pass.
