Naturals, which is the best method to get a strait style?

I think it can be done without chemicals, but I don't know how. There was another thread here the other day, but I can't find it. I need all the help I can get! Is there a blow dryer that you can suggest? My hair broke the one with the comb attachment. I made another thread, but maybe I wasn't clear enough. I want to get a strait style Without chemicals.

I just saw a commercial on tv for a new blow dryer by conair, that supposedly gets your hair straight. it's got this funky looking thing on the end, that's supposed to mimic the same action that you'd get with the comb attachment or using a round brush. Now I don't blow dry my hair but maybe once a year, so I have no clue, but I am sure that you can do a search on google for it. hth

Saturate hair with setting lotion or Silk Infusion,BIOSILK. Wrap hair flat to head, hold to head with plastic wrap, sit under dryer for 30min. See if this works

I've tried to wrap my natural hair once....Let's just say that's how I broke my last hair dryer... I got a dynamite tip on blow drying from Lilithlioness. I think that will help me get there.

For me it is going to my stylist for a double press. My hair looks like a fresh relaxer once she is done. If I can get the DH to take some pics & upload them you will see just what I am talking about. I am in with my new stylist.

Do you think that would work for texlaxed hair too? Do you wait until your hair is completely dry?

I'm still really bad at roller setting and terrified of direct heat but after hide your hair is over for the year I might try wearing my hair straight occasionally and that sounds like a good idea.

I looked at your fotki and you should be able to get yr hair strait, easy. My natural hair is something completely different! I hope the maxiglide can help me, like it helped my friends.

I just flat iron my airdried hair. I did it last night. I usually make sure i detangled really well before I let my hair dry, but yesterday I just did it at the end of the day. I think the key is to flat iron very small sections- it takes a while, but works for me. I'll try to get some pics later today.

Silver girl, what's the comb chase method? DDTexlaxed, I agree with a flat iron. You might have to rollerset first and then flat iron. I've had success with blowdrying my hair first and then flat ironing. If you can't use the comb attachment, have you thought about using a paddle brush?

Wow, I never thought about a paddle brush. I usually part my hair in 4 sections moisturize and air dry. I will be happy when my maxiglide finally gets here. I hope UPS gets moving!

almost. the flatiron follows the comb, it helps to ensure the hair gets straight and helps fix the dredded "scraggly ends" looks.

on my moms hair (or anyone with relaxed hair)i use a paddle brush cause its easier to handle and it holds the hair better. i do sometimes use it on my hair as well.

Thanks!! I like the paddle brush too. I usually use it for my edges with the blowdryer. I'm going to try the comb chase next time. I need to perfect straightening my own hair.
