Do you find it easier to wash your hair while still in a twist or braided style? With regards to detangling?

I thought about this, having viewed someone's album, it makes pefect sense to wash while in a style like this?

Does/did anyone actually do it? What were your results.

Well, I tend to rinse my hair, while in twists, or flat twists, when my hair is covered with a stocking, but you can use this method to shampoo your hair, if you wish to. I think Den1 uses the method and also I think it was on the method of www.growafrohairlong.com, if I am correct. Sometimes, when my hair gets frizzy, I tend to redone the twists while they are wet and detangle with my fingers.

You know what...

I know it's wrong, but when my hair is in braids, I don't wash it at all...
But my hair has been doing very well marinating in it's own juices...:)

I've tried it a few times and I absolutely, positively know that I can NOT wash or rinse my hair in braids or twists. Tangle and loc city...

As far as washing or rinsing in braided or twisted sections, well I can't do that either. My hair needs to be free in order to detangle with ease.

It's the only way I can wash my hair at this length without it tangling it up. I have tried to wash my hair free and clear and once I comb through a section, it immediately tangles right back up. That one of the reasons why I keep my hair braided 24/7 now. I can't deal with tangles. My hair seems to be really fine(in strand size) so I am scared silly that if I manipulate it too much, I'll lose the length I have accumulated.

i do it occasionally when my hair is in twists....but i only do my scalp....i dont bother with working the shampoo through my twists...i'll wash the actual hair when i remove my twists....

No way! At least not for me. Washing my hair in braids then taking it down makes my hair tangle something terrible! I haven't tried washing it in twists.
