What are you using as a leave in? I am looking for something creamy that really moisturises. My shea butter/ coconut oil combo isn't working very well on my hair when it's out of braids. I tried profectiv breakfree and it's a bit better, but I would like to see if there's something better that is less greasy and more moisturizing. My hair is sooo thick and drys out quickly. If anyone could suggest something that's worked for them, I would be so grateful. TIA

Last spring & summer when I needed something creamy & light to moisturize my hair, I'd just use body lotion (Razac Hand & Body lotion was my favorite). I section my hair, and saturate each section with the lotion, and braid or twist it at night. In the morning, it is very soft. That's what I plan to start doing again once my braids come out.

How about Elastica Mango Butter? I recently bought that and it's about time to replace it. I love it because it's moisturizing and easy to wash out doing my conditioner wash.

I also use Protectiv products.

Nexxus Humectress. The generic version at Sally's is just as good. It is creamy and you can leave it in or wash it out. It is the only leave-in (only anything for that matter!) that moisturizes my hair and keeps it moisturized.

Thanks so much ladies.... you're really bringing out the PJ in me hehe, I want to try all these products. I've got a free sample of the Elasta Mango Butter, I'm going to see if I can get free samples of these other products too before I go broke.

I use body lotion on my hair too!
I looked at the ingredients, and its very similar to my hair moisturizers. I like to use something thick like curel or Nivea on slightly damp hair, and my hair stays so soft, and the curl definition is wonderful.

I spray my hair throughout the day with a mix of water and Elucence or some other favorite conditioner.
