naturals...is this how you do YOUR coils?

i am soooo trying to learn how to do coils, or maybe a coil out, and hopefully i can learn how while i am still home and i have two heads to practice on (my mom and sis). i had no luck searching LHCF so far but i found this video by lyndaespratley (i like her vids btw)

sooo...is this how you do yours? i know SouthernTease and Brockstar have great coil pics in their fotkis, and i just wanna make sure i don't get my hopes up too high before taking out my cornrows or something equally drastic.

anyone who can explain, provide a pic, give me a link to something...thanks

I do mine similar to Ladykpnyc, using just your fingers. Like she mentioned in her video, it's faster, and you get the same results. She does an excellent job at explaining. Take a look at her video for instructions:

I only did it once... I'm no expert... I'll try to make a youtube since people are asking but I don't really know what I'm doing to be quite honest... lucky I guess

thanks for the other link honeycomb, your hair is beautiful...then and now...

i sat up thinking about it (sad? yes) and i think i will use my fingers...try it on my mom first. she has a lot of curl definition in the back but the crown is like really weird.

ETA: just watched the vid...i think i DO like that technique better (looks faster).
