... make you curls pop!

I am already on to Miss Jessies, just wondering what else (products and techniques) people are using for curl definition.

***Please state your hair type when responding, thanks

What do you mean by pop? More curly?

Most important tip do not let your hair dry out.

My hair type: Wispy fine thin 90%3c with a dash of 4a and 3b

Bedhead, Kinky Custard, Miss Jessie, Mixed Chics made my hair more curlier. Miss Jessie and Mixed Chics dried my hair out after a few days.

A good moisturzier plus SCurl equals nice results. So if you are on a tight budget ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer and SCurl is nice. For max length, Curls Milkshake( a lot) and SCurl. Curls Milkshake loosens some hair types, well it loosen mine.

Curls Whipped Cream and Bleanded Beauty Curl Styling butter is okay.
Right now my favorite is HoneyChilde Type 3 Hair Creme.

After the final rinse, I bend forward so my hair hang down and hair is soaking wet. I take the product, rub in my hands, and apply. The product gets sucked up and my hair stops dripping. I stand straight and get out of shower. I take a part of my hair and move it to the right side but other then that I don't touch it. I let it air-dry. The reason I part my hair to the side is because my hair is cut in a layered bob so my hair looks better with the part on the side.

Hope that helps.

Garnier Fructis Curl n' Shine Leave In Conditioner

Fantasia IC Gel (blue or green) with the corresponding hair polisher

Aussie Tizz No Frizz Gel

Those products are on rotation and only used when my hair is freshly washed and conditioned (which I do on a daily basis) :yep: Hair type 4a natural.

I'm gonna cosign on the Fantasia Gel.

3c/4a...Less has really become more for me. I use the Pantene for curly hair regular conditioner as a leave in and my hair feels great. Other times I'll wash out my conditioner and use the knock off Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" from Sally's...the generic brand...my hair looks and feels crazy good! Sometimes to really make them pop, I'll spray a litle Garnier Fructis curl shaping gel spray after the conditioner

3c (perimeter)/4a

Apple cider vinegar rinse.

Same here. I find that all the other products are really unnecessary for my hair. I think my hair type may be 4a.

I then seal with glycerin and castor oil. Keeping it simple.

N.B. I have tried various other products but the three above achieve the same results.

Oh yeah I forgot,

I discovered that the ORS Replenishing Pak when applied to my hair is clear. I left it on my hair and my curls "popped" but was crunchy as the day progressed.. Killing two birds with one stone and baggy at night.

I've been using Cantu shea butter leave in and Fantasia IC but I've been thinking about trying Miss Jessie's

Definitely a Denman Brush. It makes curls pop out of no where. You can have a blob of frizz and as soon as you run the brush down it the frizz turns into perfect ringlets.

Also, Beyond The Zone Noodlehead is the best curl definer I've ever used. What I do is brush that through with my denman. I have tons of reviews in my album. I'm a 3b/c.

I used to do that with my curly weave. The ORS was a great leave in for it. And all day when people were near me they'd be like what are you wearing?!?!? BC it smelled so good.

4a/b

I've tried shingling and it was way too much product. I get my coils to pop with water, and some type of product. Sometimes it'll be VO5 conditioner or some type of cream. The key for me is to not disturb the hair too much, I just emulsify in my hands and rub over my hair lightly. Oh and oil, I always apply oil to my hair no matter what.

I never let my hair dry loose though, it'll dry into a ball even with the products above. I usually have to set my hair first (say twist out) then I'll maintain the coilyness with water/condish or water/cream.

3b/c here! LOL...

In the shower after cowashing I apply QP Elasta's Intense as a leave-in, then once I get out the shower I apply coconut oil (to all of my hair) then castor oil only my ends. After that I don't touch my hair AT ALL until it is at least 60% dry. (For me this helps to let my curls dry nice and to avoid lots of frizzies) Once semi-dry that's when I style! :yep:
