Naturals--how do you minimize shrinkage a bit with wash and go's?

Getting a little tired of people asking "did you cut your hair?" after every wash day and thereby knowing my hair washing schedule lol. I am also tired of the whole blowdrying it thing...

Any other suggestions to stretch it while maintaining whatever pattern/shape it would normally be in (do big fat twists work? describe banding someone!)

i do about 12 braids and them co wash... towel dry- making sure each braid is only slighty damp. then pull moisturiser softly frm root to ends. i leave them for about 15 and then undo... but if im not going out il lev them braid till the next day... you could look and my fotki to see how it looks.
hope that helps

I like to wash it, slick it with aloe, then put it in a ponytail and twist the ends overnight/for a few hours. Then when I shake it out, it's damp (not sopping wet) and significantly stretched. G'luck!

Using big twists helps to stretch it but I don't do that often (too lazy) What works for me is applying my products in about 12 sections. I apply to 3 sections on each side and 6 in the back. Then I squeeze the product through slowly only once so I don't disturb the coils too much. When I can get it on that way they hang better and don't shrink up as much as they used to.

The best thing is that my leave-in gets all the way to the ends and that helps me prevent horrible tangles that I tend to get the minute I get lazy.
