After, a deep conditioning treatment do you use a liquid or a cream based leave-in conditioner?
If so, what brand do you use?

I have tried liquid leave in and because I air dry I believe that causes single strand knots and tangles for me. Any suggestions, would be helpful. TIA.

I use the creamy kind kinky curly knot today.
When i first used it i was like eh.....but i re-visted and i like it.

I use any random moisturizing conditioner as a leave-in-- just use a lot less than I would if I were conditioning.

Works like a charm. :yep:

yes i use "yes to cucumbers leave in conditioner" and/or the body shop "banana conditioner"

and I then seal with oil/butter.

It really depends on how I'm drying my hair. If I'm letting it loose, I need to use a cream or my hair would be tangled and knotted. If I'm twisting, bunning, etc, I use a lotion.

Oyin Hair Dew (mostly for moisture on dry hair)
Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk
Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie (cream)
Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine (but for the most part, my hair hates rinse outs as leave ins)

Liquid leave in doesn't work for me, even if I seal with oil my hair ends up stiff and dry. Creamy leave ins work best for me

I guess S Curl No Drip falls under "liquid". Usually I use nothing as a leave-in. Usually I'm in twists and braids and no leave-in seems necessary for me then.

When wearing my hair out, I use S Curl but again not knots and tangles here. Perhaps it's because I comb my hair through well when I apply it so it's fully detangled. If I apply to damp hair, I don't mess with my hair till evening when I apply again to narrow sections that I carefully part and comb through with S Curl applied to provide slip. Then I braid my hair for the night. I do not wet it again nor do I reapply product till wash day. No knots, not tangles. But I do make sure I braid it every night...and I do comb it out every AM.

My hair prefers a creamy leave-in. My absolute favourite is Giovanni Direct Leave-in.
The only liquid that my hair has liked is 'Its a 10' leave-in.

I spray Aloe vera juice mixed with equal parts water before I moisturize with shea moisture deep treatment masque. Works wonders on ssks!

If I am lazy, any creamy one in my stash ,then seal. If I am adventurous I make a mixture of the Kimmaytube leave-in, then seal with EVCO. Oh, I just use any condish I like in the recipe.

I make my own leave in...I make it as creamy as possible..if its too thin..my hair will laugh at it..I put regular conditioner, oils (olive and cocunut) and end it with sum water..It thin enough to spray it out but thick enuff that I can hold it in my hand with out it going thru my fingers..I can even hold my hand sideways for a sec or 2...

I use both. First I spray my hair with a water/glycerin mix, let it penetrate, and then apply a cream, usually Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioner. Makes my hair nice and fluffy soft for days, but gives no definition to whatever style I'm creating... Oh well.

I prefer thick, creamy ones - Darcy's Botanicals Daily Leave-in & Peach Kernel Hydrating Milk are my favorites.

I alternate, mainly because I have sooo many leave-ins. Lately I've been using creamy ones, but I apply my leave-in on soaking wet hair, so it gets pretty liquidy...if that makes sense. I like a lot that have already been mentioned (Oyin Hair Dew, SM leave-ins, KCKT) and I also like As I Am Leave-in.

i use both i like giovanni direct leave in and silk elements mega silk leave in both creamy, and for liquid i have ion moisture leave in, creame f nature argan oil leave in and infusium 23 i use theses mainly on dry hair though

Both. Sometimes I'll use a liquid leave-in then a regular moisturizer, or i'll use the liquid leave-in then a cream leave-in for the moisturizer, depending on my mood and what products need to be used up.

Both. I like:

Fantasia IC High Potency Leave-In Aloe-Extra Dry Treatment--has the look and consistancy of H2O

AG Fast Food Leave On Conditioner--creamy leave in

If I use a watery one, it is usually followed up with a creamy one :yep:

I use a liquid leave in followed by a lotion type leave in; keeps my hair moisturized longer.

Fav liquid leave ins
QB karkady mist
SSI moisture mist

Fav lotion leave ins
Oyin hair dew
SSI coco cream leave in

I use both types, just not necessarily in the same session. During the summer I find one particular creamy leave-in dries slightly hard. So after my hair dries, I run a little Keracare butter cream through the hair. My do gets restretched and softens/moisturizes with this second step.

I currently use Suave Almond & Shea butter conditioner as a leave-in---I can use lots of it in my hair and my hair loves it. It's very moisturizing on my 3c/4a curls.
