Alright ladies I'm sure this has been asked a bagillion times but now that my natural hair is more of my hair than my thin relaxed ends the struggle is on! Even after a long moisturizing steamy overnight DC my jilbere tangled as soon as I tried to detangle my natural roots from the relaxed ends at this point they are both equal lengths and fighting for supremacy. :210: I just need something to give me some slippage until I BC in november. My old tried and trues which really were just DCing with heat and washing in sections and detangling with the conditioner in just aren't getting it done anymore I need to step up my detangling game!

Does it have sharp pointy ends or seams - it sounds serious? I have a very hard time detangling I always have but for a while it was a breeze with my jibere I think now my hair is just too thick!

I love my bootleg Jilbere (normal wide tooth comb.. I can't find the jilbere anywhere! ) to detangle when my hair is full of condish and under running water.... and after I finish my wash, some castor oil and a denman brush! COMPLETELY detangled!

I do an oil rinse with olive oil and it works everytime for me with my denman

i just use a shower comb and hold my head under the water. i am in love with ao hr conditioner and paul mitchell the detaingler.

after washing, section hair again
apply product
Take one section at a time
Make smaller sections
Comb with a small tooth comb

bubblin, i really need to try your method of detangling... these knots on then ends are kickin my booty!

For detangling i use the BJ brand light detangler conditioner from my job! (i use it for EVERYTHING here lately)

Well I'm just transitioning but this is what I've been doin. It works well enough...just looking for other methods, if possible.

Okay I think maybe I've been detangling in too large of sections so I will start making smaller sections. I also went ahead and ordered a denman as well as a k-cutter because right now my jilbere isn't doing anything. It's leaving tangles in my hair which is bad!

Kcutter is the best comb i've used thus far. So that and sometimes, a good ole conditioner with some nice silicone is the biggest helper. My faves are Pantene breakage defence, Herbal essences (blue one) and a Brazilian one I picked up while away that of course isn't available in stores or online Thank goodness I bought 6 jars home with me.

The Jilbere and similar combs did not work for me, instead they gave me these monster dread/knots that took divine intervention to detangle.
