Thanks for your post, I understand your intent. I don't agree with trimming every 2 months though. Everyone is different, so I understand.

Knots are inevitable (at least for me). Get over it and trim em off when you find them.

At some point your hair will look like it's staying the same length when curly even though it's longer.

It's ok to miss how your hair hung after air drying when it was relaxed/texlaxed.

Take pictures so even if you don't think you're experiencing growth you can -see- it.

What I wished I knew when I first went natural:

1. I don't need a whole bunch of products
2. Combs are not my friend
3. If I want a different result I have to be open to trying different things
4. My hair is not hard and tough I have to be very gentle with it
5. Water mosturizes
6. Sebum is my best hair product
7. My hair needs way less oil than I ever thought possible. Now I use oil by the drop instead of by the teaspoon full

1) I don't need a lot of products
2) I don't need expensive products
3) More water, less oil
4) Seamless combs do make a difference
5) I don't have to shampoo every week
