NATURAL RELAXERS...ARE THEY SAFE?

Hi, I keep raving about the Bodiphier- its the perfect natural relaxer. No burning, itching, breakage, hair resists humidity. I love it. The natrulaxer by african wonders, not so much. I think it made my hair dry, and I reall didn't see much difference other than that. Until last week I thought I was the only person on this board who used it (Bodiphier), but a few ladies have PM'd me and it seems I'm not the only one!

I used the Naturalaxer and few times. It is a mild relaxer. If your hair it resistant to relaxing, :antlers: it won't do anything but make it easier to comb through your hair.

Thanks ravensunshine,i may consider using it!!
does it allow you to have wash n wear hair?

Thanks Queenie. My friend uses the natural relaxer.

HI
just wondering if anyone has used a natural relaxer such as Naturalaxer (from african wonders) or Bodiphier (from freshlook). If u have used them what effect did it have on your hair and would you consider them safe?
if you have never heard of a natural rexaxer check out these sites:
http://www.freshlookhair.com/ (bodiphier)
http://www.naturalaxer.com/ (African wonders)

I order Naturalaxer three months ago. It never showed up. It took 2 phone calls, 2 voicemails, and an e-mail to get to them tell me about their lab problems. :angry2: I'd placed my original order in the US. So, I place another order with a company in the UK (thinking they'd have some in stock). The UK company sent me an e-mail and said because naturalaxer was so unreliable in distributing their products they've decided not to carry it. Grrr, two companies, two orders and still no product.

I decided to go with Phyto and I'm soooo glad I did.:woot: It's also "natural," but whether by natural or chemical means processing is processing. After any relaxer treat your hair appropriately (i.e., don't overlap relaxers and be careful with color). Even though I'm a member of the Phyto-for-life club, there's nothing safe about it. Any permanent relaxer (natural or not) is like the carefully controlled explosions they use to take down buildings--an invaluable tool or your worse nightmare.

The only product I ever found that encouraged overlapping was Curlaway (http://xenna.com/product_curlaway.html). I use it over my Phtyo in the summer when humidity is highest. I love the stuff. But it's not cheap and when I tried to use it on my virgin hair it took a billion applications to change the curl pattern. But the very first application made it shiny and easier to comb.

Sorry for the rant!

Thanks sareca

i agree compleatly with what your saying .........my friend has a the african wonders one .She hates it .She said it makes her hair easier to comb but thats it ............
with phyto does it give you wash n wear hair?
