Re: Natural or Not? : Survey Says...

I'm relaxed. I tried to transition a couple times but would last only about 5 monthes before I would get overwhelmed with frustration.
My hair is very thick and tangles something fierce! When relaxed, I can comb my hair(with conditioner) in about 3 minutes but once the new growth passes over 2 inches that time goes up considerably! Back when I was natural(pre-teen years) it would take about an hour to comb through all my hair. I just can't imagine going back to that especially with the time constraints of adulthood!

If I ever found a way around it though I would like to give my hair a break and go natural.

I attempted transitioning once before and stopped to touchup, but I Definitely plan on going natural eventually

transitioning from texturized. will consider relaxing again if i want a change in style. reason is why perm my hair when im going to heat style it (flat iron ) anyway. why do doulbe the damamge?

I'm relaxed, but may go natural then texturize. How soon? I don't know b/c I don't wanna do the BC

. I would love to see my "real" hair again, but I do not miss the hours and tremendous effort it took just to take care of it.

I'm natural and loving it. I did the BC in March and it was one of the best decisions that I've ever made.

I have been natural for almost 4 years now. I have very very very thick hair, and I have no problems with combing it or manageability. I am going to be natural for life.

Re: Natural or Not? : Survey Says...

I've been completely natural for 19 years. Most of that time was spent with waist-length dreadlocks. Now my challenge is to see if I can grow out my un-locked hair to the same length (or somewhere near there). It's currently 3 inches!

Relaxed but thinking about going back natural one of these days.(especially if that hairline keeps receding)

I'm relaxed with a texturized effect. I love the look of both natural and relaxed hair.
