TCatt86 Well-Known Member Jun 10, 2009 #3 Trim now, because if you don't they can continue to split up the shaft, you want your hair to be in it's healthiest state before you get the sew in.

naturalmanenyc Well-Known Member Jun 10, 2009 #5 When I was weaving, my stylist said to not trim before a sew in because it made the hair harder to braid. However, I did not have splits but liked blunt ends. If you have splits, I'd get them trimmed.
