Natrual/Transistioners: May I have your help getting hair into a wet ponytail.

I just got out the shower. This is my third time trying. I still cannot get my hair into one of the slick way ponytails.

Use a leave-in, seal it with oil, brush your hair back a fews times, secure your pony with an ouchless elastic or whatever you prefer and voila, a nice slick ponytail. (Optional) you could try the scarf method if you wanna tame your edges down.

This works for me.
My hair is in a wet pony now, even though I washed my hair hourrrs ago it's still wet!

I do mine in the shower actually. I put my oils or whatever in my hair, I get under the running shower and let the water pull my hair into shape. I use an ouchless pony holder, get out of the shower, smooth the hair and put another ouchless under the one I put in in the shower to make the ponytail tighter so that I don't have to pull the sides and break my hair. I take the first ouchless off. If I want it to remain sleek, I take my IC Ice Pomade and put it on my edges and use the softest boar bristle brush to brush it back. I usually don't brush the kitchen.

Doing it under the water helps me get those little bumps/naps down because I can detangle it easier.

Try using a denman brush, that always worked to smooth my hair out.

I usually go 6 months to a year without relaxing. The best thing that works for me is first coming my hair in shower while the water is running through it and then I gather my hair under the water in a pony tail while in the shower and apply my ouchless hair band.
