@Etherealsmile
Nice hair lady. You look like a totally different person to me. (maybe it's the lighting)
. The shot with my original texture was taken in natural light by my window.
which gave that hue to my skin Interesting..I came back to say..Once joining the boards I convinced my self 4bs can't get waves from a texlax but I should of known better my hair looked like that when I use to get texlaxes from my stylist back home. Oh the memories. Your hair looks great. What did the end result look like?

. I suppose it'll take me awhile to get used to it
).
. It's hotter than hell out here today
. The rest of my strands are completely dry minus the front It looks nice.
One thing since you used a lye texturizer, you might get a bit of reversion after your first or 2nd wash.

, my hair is pretty stubborn and resistant to chemicals so I expected this to happen
Ha! i'm seeing the reversion already, my hair is pretty stubborn and resistant to chemicals so I expected this to happen

Yeah it happens to me as well which is fine.
For your TU you may not need to put anything on the ng to slow down the texturizer because its already so mild.

Cant say I'm a fan of the wash and go texturized look, but I'm sure if you ironed it out or roller set it or maybe did a braid/twist out on it, it would look nice.
this was the very first style I tried after texturizing and i'm good on it
! No more lolIts so funny because when I was texturizing and before I posted pics I thought of you @bride91501. I knew you'd be a tad disappointed. You have been one of my biggest supporters on my natural journey.
Who knows, when my program is completed, i might transition back to natural. I just don't have the luxury of long hrs to dedicate to my hair for the next 18 months.
! My DH has always told me that I have a way of making people feel guilty about stuff without even knowing I'm doing it
... maybe he's right about that lol.

, you didn't make me feel guilty though
I just had it in the back of my head that you as one of my best encouragers on LHCF would be disappointed by me going to the creamy crack
.
. I absolutely loved it and felt some hesitation with proceeding with my texturizer...then i thought about all those ssk's, knots and tangles and I said i'm good for now
.
ITA it's about what makes YOU happy. I can sit over here and drool over the pre AND post, but ultimately you're the one that has to deal with it.
I felt a tiny pang of sadness hehehe But grad school is tough, so I totally understand why you made the change...please don't judge me, but towards the end of my program (right before my thesis defense), I went weeks without combing/washing my hair
So I applaud and fully support your decision
I didn't transition until after my program was done
Anyway, your new do looks FABULOUS! Good luck with your new hair (and grad school) journey!it looks really good!
i can't wait to see it rollerset or even a braidout.
man that looks tempting....lol.

I'm happy you found a solution that makes YOU happy! I did secretly admire your natural hair & your posts though, so my jaw dropped when I read who started the threadI felt a tiny pang of sadness hehehe But grad school is tough, so I totally understand why you made the change...please don't judge me, but towards the end of my program (right before my thesis defense), I went weeks without combing/washing my hair

I've been warned about how rigorous grad school will be...not to mention my program is accelerated/intensive so i'll be done in 18 months as opposed to the standard 2yrs.
