:) thanks ladies

What a cutie pie! You did a good job! How long are ya'll trying to grow his hair?

I don't know really, this is his second time growing out his hair. I haven't really thought about it.

I love the way he looks with them, it does become him.

He is definitely tough, some of the school kids tell him he has worms or to cut them off and he is like :nono: :nono:

I tell him he looks well groomed and to ignore the comments which he does anyway.

Cherrypie, mommy don't play that, he has to hit those books first! He also is the starter player on his baseball team (he is fast) He makes me proud as they all do :)

I just have to get my gate key ready so when the girls come I could lock up shop :)

.....and he's SMART too!!:ohsnap:

Get ready mamma!:lachen:He's sooo adorable!

Wow, his hair grew out so much! you did an awesome job they're perfect!

How does he feel about DCing and steaming?:look: My brother would look at me like I was crazy if i so much as suggested that for him:rofl:

LOL Thanks everyone, I had a busy day today, Class, Mowed lawn, Car didn't start cause my son turned the light on, so I borrowed hubbies truck that was on the side to take kids to baseball game was one minute late, Scout Planning Meetings HUH! I am back

Thanks ladies, BMP He actually likes that part the steaming and Deep Conditioning, He just doesn't like the time it takes to do the actual twist :) :ohwell:

I have seen such a great improvement in his hair with the quality treatments, steam and extra conditioning I do to his hair. He has a lot of shrinkage he was like wow mom, my hair is longer than some of the girls in my class. LOL

He read the post you ladies wrote and started to blush, He was like dag mom.

One - Hooray! I am so excited to see someone with a son who doesn't have the typical almost-bald haircut.:grin::grin:

Two - How old is your son? As my son's hair gets longer, I wonder about what I will do if it starts to become difficult to pat into a round afro. But I can't imagine him sitting still for 2 hours; I can barely get him to stay still for the 5 minutes it takes to form his afro! (He's 4-going-on-5.)

I really like the style. Do you wash/wet it at all during the three weeks?

My son is going on 11 years of age. I don't wash it for the 2-3 weeks or it will get fuzzy. He can spray a little sea breeze on or dab on his scalp but he is usually fine. Wears a shower cap in the shower.

He wears his du-rag to bed so it doesn't get fuzzy as well. :)

Very neat and nice, OP. Your son's a cutie too. at his big grin. Hard to believe he was groaning through the process. :p
