My sister asked me for help with my hair!

This was a shock to me cause she couldn't understand at first why I did so much to my hair. I let her see what it looks like now (i'm hiding it until Dec., but I gave her a peek) and she immediately asked for help.

She just had twins and she had to take alot of medication so her hair came out. She's always had dry short hair and she believes it will never grow. Her self-esteem has been very low and she has given up on relaxers and phony ponies.

So I step in to help her. I deeped conditioned her with Elasta DPR-11 and added olive oil and honey and applied coconut oil to seal. She doesn't want anymore chemicals so she asked me to cut all the relaxer out (it was about an inch) So I blowed dry her hair first (with a heat protectant) clipped her ends and flat ironed. (She was so amazed she actually paid me).

This forum is not only helping us, but for all the women who felt they could never have long healthy hair.

My sister and I both thank you!

tell your sister not to give up. my hair was your sisters length for more than a decade of my life. i got so many bad comments about my hair. i wore braids for about 2 years and it grew to SL.

make sure she moisturizes daily, Dc weekly, and has a good diet. We can all do this. :yep:

Agreed. Once she learns how to care for it, then she'll be fine.

I'm glad you were able to help her and make her feel good about herself :)

I'm sure you felt really good helping your sister with her hair. You did a great job. Now, this is the beginning of her healthy hair journey.

The Savvy Sistah, you are a wonderful sister :yep:
Say hi to your sister from us and tell her to join in on the fun when the twins have started to play on their own :D

Thank you so much ladies!

When I started taking pictures of her she said, "Are you going to show them to your friends on that hair site".(yup) And although I've never met any of you, I feel like you are my friends (you're my hair sistahs)

But, she does feel better and her husband thought it was beautiful. I'm going to start a hair journal for her and make sure I show you all, the progress.

I told her we don't play on this forum. If you ask us for help and we put together a regimen we expect you to follow it. I think discipline is the first step to healthy hair.

Just know that you all helped replace my sister's tears with a smile:grin:

Savvy!
