My plug gets HOTT when I sit under the dryer

I don't have a type to recommend but sally's carries hard dryers and soft bonnet dryers. And they are having a sale tommorrow with free shipping. Hth

you betta watch that girl, it aint worth a fire :nono:

you mean blow dryer or hood dryer?

A hooded dryer that I'm sitting under right now....I'm convinved that the college's plugs mess up every friggin cord ever. They all begin to melt, malfunction, or blow up. :nono: And the hood dryer is plugged into the surge protector. I moved it out the surge protector and put it in a single outlet....and it's still hott :(

Be careful! I didnt pay attention to the cord on my blowdryer and it caught on fire one day! Scary stuff

But u bring up a good point OP I didnt to attribute my plug problems to life in the dorms... I lost a couple appliances in pursuit of my degree....glad thats all over lmao...the prices we pay for that piece of paper

Aww heck.....! But girl yes the web we weave for one lousy piece of paper! Grrr! So I need a new dryer huh.....*sigh*

It's definitely a fire hazard. You just need to have someone change your end of the cord out to a heavier end. My husband had to do it for my hair dryer. Hubby is an electrician.
