HERE COMES THE BATTLE OF THE 2 TEXTURES !!!

Now the real hair journey begins! You will spend the next few months discovering how to keep your new growth and your relaxed hair happy! Trial and error works best. I am only 24 weeks post, and still exploring moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, oils and stretching (tension processes) like bantu knots, braiding, scarf tying, and on and on to help tame my new growth!!!! I have discovered that keeping my new growth well moisturized with water, creams and oils, and tying the hair down for a few hours each day with a scarf has allowed me to flatten the new growth some and eliminate a lot of the puffiness at the crown. Then I can pretty much style the relaxed ends any way I want. I'm having fun with my new growth, for now, and I think that's key! :drunk: Good luck as you learn how to manage your beautiful new growth!!!!!:yep:

ITA with Stella B. Trial and error on what moisturizers work for you are going to be key. I am about to hit 22 weeks post, and I find tying my hair down with a scarf is key to get the NG to lay down for buns, pony's and air drying. I've tried braid outs (plats really) and twist outs...and learned that twist outs work better for me. I normally prefer roller setting, but I find it difficult to acheive the look I want so I've been experimenting with Flexi Rods.

Just play around and have fun! GL on your journey!
