here is my nekkid ponytail

and my nekkid hair

It does dry fast. The curls are soft and swingy. The color is so blah and by the end of the day, it was fuzzy and tangly. No way I could do this everyday.

That is exactly the problem... no product equals an hour of detangling misery at the next wash for me, and a little too much hair loss. (Just went through it this morning,.) Pretty curls that come at too a high price. I've also tried the "naked hair" thing using that plopping technique once, without product, and the curls looked amazing. But they wouldn't stay that way, and adding product completely ruined the look (the opposite way, adding product then plopping, does not work at all).

But you did get two very pretty pictures for posterity, .

Thanks ladies. I just thought it was a cool experiment. I think I'm addicted to product though. I love the feel of some qhemets or afroveda on my hair when I style and it looks good at the end of the day.

Thanks Yamilee. I can't deal with detangling. I mean, what's the point if I have to start from scratch everyday. I also feel like the dryness would eventually cause breakage.

I washed it the very next day. I had too many tangles.
It felt soft and fluffy. It was dry though.

Your naked hair is so pretty. I can see your waves better than curls. I looks soft too. Did you keep it that way for more than a day?

It looks so pretty! I'm loving the naked hair look but I feel you on the hesitation to wear it as a daily style. I plan on doing some serious experimentation with it when the weather warms. I know for sure that I won't be going completely naked, I'll at least use a moisturizer and oil. I'll see how that goes first.
