I just can't seem to get to it each week!

How do you people find time to do weekly deep treatments

Well at least I can type while i'm doing my pre-shampoo

Well for me it is a necessity I cannot go two weeks without washing my hair so I have to find the time. Usually Sundays are my days where I take to pamper myself. For me it is relaxing because I spend so much of my time taking care of things that do not pertain to myself it feels good to finally do something for myself. Also I look at it like excercise you just have to make the time to do it in order to achieve the goals t oset for yourself.

It can be a challenge- esp with a job, school or kids. But my motivation is knowing that those weekly and sometimes 2x a week washes, keeps my hair moisturized and less likely to break. If I am really pressed for time. I will apply my conditioners after my wash and just let it sit with a plastic cap while I study or clean or do what ever I have to do around the house. If time doesnt permit me to roller set I will just air dry my hair by the ponytail method and apply Frieda's hair serum to the ends to prevent frizzies.

Yeah, I like to rinse with conditioner in between, but NOTHING beats a nice deep treatment for my hair. It looks so good and feels so great afterwards. I can't even imagine if I had a little girl with her own head of hair to care for! Looks like I need to do my own personal weekly deep condition challenge

I juggled it in with everything else.

I know what you mean about being busy. This past semester, I was taking 15 credit hours, working, and all the drama that entails. I would deep condition my hair while studying, then find the time to take an extra shower to clean it out before going to the cafe for dinner.

It can be done. You just need to "budget" your time.

What's your schedule like? I'm sure we can help you find the time to do it. Shoot, you can deep condition while you're typing on the messageboards.

Well, one thing is for sure. If this weren't my last day of classes I wouldn't be up this late washing my hair. Then again, I might...interview tomorrow

Now that I have some extra time on my hands, i'm going to try and maybe make sunday nights my wash days. But the problem is that I live at home, so I try my best to take up the bathroom after everyone is asleep. No wonder I get so lazy

As mentioned before, it really means making time for my hair. I wash and condition every 3 days, no matter how busy I am. I like doing more than one thing at a time, like deep conditioning and exercising on my treadmill or airdrying and sleeping. It's about priorities and I remember what it was like when I didn't make my hair a priority.

I schedule time for myself just like I schedule time to run errands, hang with friends, etc. If you have some "ME" time in your week (EVERYONE SHOULD), take this time to pamper your hair as well as the rest of you. Make your hair just as important as things such as cooking dinner, picking up the kids, taking care of the hubby, grocery shopping, etc. Schedule an appointment with yourself AND KEEP IT!!!

Make your hair a priority and not a task. This will help things out tremendously. We tend to think of a task as something you get to when you have the time, but priorities are something that's necessary. Make it your priority to do your hair once a week and you'll see that it's easier to "work-in" the time.

I think your hair needs weekly care! For me enjoyment is a big part of it. I wish I could spend more time giving it all it needs. I really enjoy my hair and all that it takes. Anyone who knows me will tell you that if I'm sitting in the house it's b/c I'm doing my hair. It's me time and I appreciate every moment. Do your nails while you deep condition, get on the board, watch a tv show, call a friend. I pre-condition while I'm just doing house stuff, cooking, washing dishes, hanging clothes, etc. Before you know it the time is gone and it's time to keep moving forward in the process. JenMD said it very well, make your hair care a priority and not a task and try to find some enjoyment in the process.

doing my hair or my daughters hair is a task , no matter how i want to or try to look at it....in the end, its still a task and a big one too.

..I aint even tryin to do two heads every single week...thats like being a slave to our hair. ugh its every two weeks or bust around here , doing hair around here is like having another full time job , i swear

I put a pre-shampoo treatment after I get home from work and leave it on while I make and eat dinner. For deep conditioning treatments, I sleep with conditioner in my hair or I leave it in while I'm doing house work on the weekends.

I definitely do laundry, housekeeping and vacuuming while I am deep conditioning. Then after all that work is done...it is time for a shower and rinse.

I end up making time to do it twice a week.
