MY HAIR JOURNEY!!! TONS OF PICTURES, COME SEE!!!

Yea henna will make your hair red. Plus, its not advisable to use henna over chemical color. I'm not sure why though..

You can use BAQ henna over chemical dye, but they say not to dye over henna. This is probably because henna is uber permanent, so in order to lift henna, it would most likely take a pretty strong chemical process. Also, the color probably wouldn't come out how the person wants it because it would mix with the red, since henna bonds to the keratin in your hair.

@liljoy But yes, henna would definitely turn blonde hair bright red, so unless that's the look you're going for, I wouldn't recommend it.

You're like me...I love dyeing my hair, and am trying to stop! But I get bored...

Thank u, and tha is the thing I don't want red tones so I guess I'll leave the henna alone, and I am trying to quit too, but is so fun, I guess we should do a dye intervention, lol

I remember dying & bleaching my hair like that. It broke my hair off something awful.

Thank you for sharing. You and your hair are pretty! HHJ!!

i mean i loved the colors, but they will hurt you in the end, but they look so good on you.... ugh i'm thinking of dying my hair lol

Thanks no more bleaching for me ever again, now I'll have to work more into the no more dye...

Oh liljoy I really like all of your pics. I especially love your hair when you did the big chop in 2008.

I like your current color too. You seem to have a lot of fun with your hair and you are not afraid to try new things.

Very Beautiful Hair! I totally enjoyed the walk thru! Very good thread, well put together!
Your hair was fiyah, straightened, I Loved it! It's "Beautiful" in any state! :yep:

I think you should let go of the Coloring until you have a better understanding of how to take care of your hair properly, some women here, use color and their hair still flourishes, because they have the "No-How"! So once your all filled to the brim with the knowledge you need to nourish any type of hair, Colored, Natural, Relaxed, it won't even matter, You'll be able to do what needs to be done to retain it, at any cost!

Good Luck to You, My Dear, Happy Hair Growing, and Welcome!

Wow! You went through a lot with your hair, but now you know what's good for your hair, so I guess it's all good in the end. Thanks for sharing :)

Because once the henna is there forget about trying to dye your hair again. It bonds to your hair and it won't wear off.

I henna'd 2 years ago. Since then I've dyed it black about 20 times. Whatever section was henna'd is STILL red to this very day.

Liljoy, thanks so much for sharing! You and your hair have been through a lot.

I always love hair pictures and to have so many in one post is awesome. I guess
I should also thank you for the picture of the hot guy, too (I haven't finished reading
so I don't know if you've said who he is).

You fit right in here.
