My hair is poofy....what is a girl to do???

Ok, I shampooed and deep condished my hair lastnight. I was going to roll it up and sit under the dryer but my niece and nephew fell asleep and God forbid if I woke them up, my lil sis was babysitting and just got them to bed. So I pulled out the blowdryer that I haven't used in about 4 years and dried my hair that way (oh yea, by the way, my blowdryer is so old it cuts off when it gets too hot:lachen: ). After drying, I used my carusos and left them in for about 45 minutes. The curls were very bouncy and I just put on a satin bonnet and went to bed. This morning I wrapped my hair and got in the shower and after I comed it down, it was a big poof. So I used my handy dandy Remington hot rollers, took them out and used some coconut oil for sheen. Some of the poofyness went away, but my hair is still kind of big and curly. I've gotten alot of compliments on it today at work, but it's still too boofy for me. Ladies can you tell me what do you do after you blowdry? Do you flatiron or wrap and tie with a satin scarf?? TIA

Some things that I do when I used to blowdry to prevent poofiness.

I would add serum on WET hair, before I styled, this helps lock in the moisture and keep those frizzies in check.

Then after I would style I would wrap my hair and secure it with a silk scarf then I would take it off the next day.

I used the Kenra, maybe I didn't use enough. And I usually wrap and tie with my silk scarf but I didn't lastnight. Thanks for your help
