Supergirl
With Love & Silk
I was in Kohl's department store of all places and I passed through the beauty section on my way to the jewelry and a section of hair products caught my eye. The brand name is Grassroots. They have body products, baby products, and hair products.
The product I picked up is called In Perfect Condition--Deeply Moisturizing Conditioner with Pineapple, Grapefruit, & Pomegranate. The tube packaging is cute too! I did not pick up the coordinating shampoo, but it is sulfate free is anyone is interested.
The ingredient list is quite long, but it has lots of botanical type ingredients and some other stuff that I love to see in conditioners.
Here is what the back of the bottle says:
Say goodbye to frizzies, kinks (tangles) and all sorts of tress-stress. In Perfect Condition is Nature's own way to detangle, polish and shimmer your hair into shining silkiness. Passionflower, Edelweiss and Purple Loosestrife herb combine their botanical bounties to increase hair-quenching moisture and gloss. Vitamin E helps protect thair from environmental harshness while Wheat Protein, Jojoba Oil and Panthenol add shine. Refreshing scents of Raspberry, Grapefruit and Pineapple fill both hair and air with optimism. This is a conditioner so full of natural goodness, you may come to think of it as unconditional love for your hair
Don't you just love that? I did, because that's what made me buy it! It smells great. There were testers of the conditioner out so that you could smell it and see the consistency of the product.
I like to test moisturizing conditioners to make sure that they don't just make my hair feel good on the rinse, so I'll use it and rinse and apply nothing else afterwards (no leave-in)and then air dry. If my hair feels moisturized when dry, then I give it a thumbs up for TRUE moisture. If my hair felt good on the rinse, but air dries crackly then it's a thumbs down. Well, this one gets the thumbs up. My hair feels great--velvety soft, supple, silky smooth. (all of my hair isn't dry, but the portions that are are super moisturized) It did detangle well and there are a few cones, but they are near the end of the ingredient list.
Now, I don't want to get totally excited just yet for these reasons:
*I shampooed with DE Moisture Retention first and no matter what I use afterwards, my hair 9 times out of 10 will come out feeling wonderful if I used this shampoo first.
*I am 1 week post relaxer and we know that everything is pretty amazing that soon after a relaxer.
But based on tonight, this is something that I would repurchase.
So, that's all. It was $9.50 for 6 oz. They also sell a larger tube for $13.50.
